Learning Officer - Leicester Ageing Together

37 hours per week

£30,243 per annum for 12 months

We have an exciting opening for a post/doctoral researcher to gather, coordinate and disseminate research and wider learning from the Big Lottery-funded Leicester Ageing Together partnership programme. The programme, coordinated by Vista, has, over the last three years, worked with over 5000 people aged 50+ to address social isolation and loneliness in the city. In its final year, we are evaluating the programme’s impact and sharing our findings.     

 You will be required to work 37 hours per week and will:

·     Coordinate and support the programme’s learning and evaluation work, working with the Leicester Ageing Together core team and partners, other research institutions and consultants

·     Maximise learning from all aspects of Leicester Ageing together, including via the national Ageing Better Common Measurement Framework

·     Develop LAT research evidence and learning into a range of ‘products’ or information sharing formats that can be easily understood and disseminated to a range of audiences, including researchers, service commissioners and providers, the third sector and older people

 You will have:

·        A Masters degree

·        Two years’ experience of research work

·        Extensive knowledge of a range of research tools, methodologies and techniques, including qualitative and quantitative

·        Knowledge of areas of work relevant to the role, including: 

o   Knowledge of the health and social care landscape

o   Knowledge of the voluntary sector

·        Demonstrable experience of project managing research projects and delivering high quality insight

·        Experience of translating research evidence into non-academic research outputs 

·        Experience of using research software
