Leicester Ageing Together attended a Health and Wellbeing Day on Tuesday 21 March at Devonshire Place in Leicester.

Organised by local sight loss charity Vista, the event aimed to celebrate the importance of good health, as well as providing information on support and services from a variety of local wellbeing organisations.

Visitors were able to attend talks and demonstrations from over 40 organisations, including the LAT core team and several partners of the project. In addition, taster sessions for a range of therapies were available.

Louise Hall, Older Persons Coordinator, said “It was useful to meet with potential beneficiaries as well as fellow professionals. Thanks to our partners who joined us in providing advice and information about the support we can offer older people in their local communities.”

Supported by the Big Lottery Fund, Leicester Ageing Together is a programme that aims to reduce social isolation amongst people over 50 in Leicester.
